Beginning Sewing 101
The Best Place to Start is the Beginning!
We welcome anyone who wants to dive into sewing & learn the amazing, fun process from the beginning with Donna Kraft.
In this 4 session class you will be learning the Basics of Sewing.
The first class will be an information class about the tools and terms used for sewing. You will not need to bring a machine for this first class. You will take notes and get all of the information about the pattern and fabric needs for class #2, #3 and #4. You might be expected to do some sewing at home between classes.
The following is a list of only a few of the things you will be learning:
- How to choose fabrics
- How to choose notions
- How to download and print a pattern
- How to read a pattern, layout a pattern and how to cut it out
- How to begin sewing, making darts, and facings
- How to hem
