Embroidery Club August 22
Whether you are new to Embroidery, or an experienced embroiderer, there is always something to learn at Embroidery Club. Please join us each month on the fourth Thursday from 1pm-4pm.
This month we will be making this Cool, Hot Oven Mitt.
Kits will be available for purchase at Sisters Too.
Embroidery Machine & Embroidery Module
Power Cord
Embroidery Hoops - 240 x 150 for word embroidery
360 x 260 for quilted lining insert
(If your machine cannot embroider a 360 x 260 hoop size, you may quilt your fabric with the sewing machine and cut out by hand.)
USB Stick
Sewing shears
Small scissors to trim embroidery threads
Pins or fabric clips
1 Kit with the Blueberry Muffin fabric (you can purchase at Sisters Too)
Note: The Band at the top of the Mitt will be Blueberry fabric and the binding will be Plaid. The sample is stitched with the top band in Plaid and the binding in Blueberry.
Embroidery Thread for embroidery wording on the top band.
Polyester embroidery thread for quilting the mitt. (White or blue would be appropriate.
Sewing thread to assemble the oven mitt.
Cutaway stabilizer for the 240 X 150 hoop
If you choose to purchase the Hot Stuff Oven Mitt pattern by itself and source your own fabrics, please bring:
1 fat quarter or 1/2 yd fabric for exterior print
5/8 yd fashion fabric for liner this will be quilted to muslin
5/8 yd muslin for underside of liner
1 fat quarter for band, binding and hanging loop
1/8 yd SF101 interfacing for band
1/2 yd batting or 2 pieces of batting cut 16”x10”
