Embroidery Club (April 25th)

Please come to Embroidery Club this month on April 25th to make these themed appropriate mugrugs! "My Happy Place" and "Happy Mother's Day" designs are perfect, for yourself or for gifting! The design, the appliques and the quilting on these are wonderful!

Supply list:

Sewing Machine and power cord
Embroidery Unit
USB Stick
Hoop(s) - the 240x150 would work for the smaller sizes.  If you want the 6”x6” or larger, bring a larger hoop.
Sharp scissors - Curved Embroidery Scissors work best (You can purchase at Sisters Too)
Embroidery Tape or Painters Tape


My Happy Place can be made in 3 sizes approximately 5x7, 6x8 or 8x10.
I used the 5x7 design.  The sizes indicated below are for the 5x7.  If you choose to do a larger design, you will need larger pieces.

My Happy Place:
Stabilizer -  Fibrous Water Soluble Stabilizer  - you will need 2 layers for whatever size hoop you choose.
Batting - 6” x 8”
Fabric:
        Frame & Backing - Two 6”x8” pieces (Optional - add lightweight fusible interfacing to back of fabric)
        Inner Fabric - 5”x7”
        Sewing Machine - 4”x5”
Thread to match or contrast with your fabrics.  Also bring a contrasting thread for the thread spool and lettering.
Bobbins:
         You may use your normal embroidery bobbin for the beginning of the project.
         Wind an  additional bobbin to match the thread you will be using for the final outlining satin stitch.

Happy Mother’s Day can be made in 4 sizes - 4x4, 5x5, 6x6, or 8x8.

Stabilizer -  No Show Mesh - 1 layer to fit your hoop choice
Batting - 6”x6”
Fabric:
        Outside Frame - 6”x6”
        Inner Fabric - 5”x5”
        Rose - 4”x5”
        Leaf - Scrap at least 2” square
        Backing Pieces - Two 6”x8” pieces - each will be pressed in half to measure 6”x4”
Thread to match or contrast fabrics
Bobbin - 1 full normal embroidery bobbin
